Frequently Asked Questions

How accurate are ClaimSnap estimates?

ClaimSnap provides estimates based on current market rates for materials and labor in your area. While our AI is trained on real repair data, actual costs can vary based on contractor availability, hidden damage discovered during repairs, and local market conditions. We recommend using our estimates as a starting point for discussions with contractors and insurance adjusters.

How do I take good photos for analysis?

For the best results:

  • Take photos in good lighting (daylight is best)
  • Capture multiple angles of the damage
  • Include close-ups and wider context shots
  • Make sure photos are in focus and not blurry
  • Include a reference object (like a coin or ruler) for scale when possible
What is the Adjuster Counter feature?

Adjuster Counter is a Pro feature that analyzes insurance company settlement offers. Upload or enter the details of your insurance company's offer, and our AI will identify items that may have been missed, underpriced, or incorrectly categorized. This helps you have informed conversations with your adjuster about your claim.

How do I cancel my subscription?

To cancel your subscription:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone
  2. Tap your name at the top
  3. Tap "Subscriptions"
  4. Find and tap ClaimSnap
  5. Tap "Cancel Subscription"

You'll continue to have access until the end of your current billing period.

How do I restore my purchase on a new device?

Open ClaimSnap on your new device, go to Settings, and tap "Restore Purchases." Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID you used for the original purchase. Your Pro subscription or lifetime access will be restored automatically.

Does ClaimSnap work offline?

Yes! You can take photos of damage while offline. The photos are saved locally, and the AI analysis will automatically run when you reconnect to the internet. This is especially useful at disaster sites or remote locations with poor connectivity.

Is my data secure?

Yes. Your photos and scan history are stored locally on your device. When photos are sent for AI analysis, they're transmitted using secure encryption (HTTPS/TLS). We don't store your photos on our servers after analysis is complete. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Can I use ClaimSnap for commercial purposes?

ClaimSnap is designed for personal use by homeowners and vehicle owners. If you're a contractor, adjuster, or business interested in commercial licensing, please contact us at business@claimsnap.org.
